We are also unable to offer a click and collect service at the moment due to the new government guidance. We will be available on the phone from 11am to 1pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until further notice. Stay safe everyone! Though compact the store is brimming with the best modern fabric, quality yarns and superior threads (much of which is available here online!), all enhanced by the creative inspiration available in the studio. We pride ourselves on friendly helpful customer service. The store is open every Wednesday – Saturday. myBearpaw Craft Classes – where you can learn new skills in a friendly, relaxed environment. Both Catriona, who owns the shop, and Jane, the shop Manager, teach regular classes. There is also an ever changing team of skilled regular tutors plus occasional exciting guest tutors from around the world. With an emphasis on fun and creativity, the aim of our workshops is to share skills and inspire students to get involved in a wide range of crafts such as quilting, crochet, knitting, patchwork, embroidery, bag making, sewing machine skills. These days are about treating yourself while you learn! Our huge craft studio in our store provides the ideal spacious, well-lit environment to inspire and delight. CLASSES UPDATE We released a new schedule of classes running from January to March 2021. Most of these have now been cancelled but we still have some hopes for the March ones. This is another socially distanced class schedule, we’re hoping classes may be more normal later in 2021. There will be a maximum of 4 people per class who will be seated 2 metres apart. Masks will need to be worn throughout the classes and to make this a bit easier no full-day classes will be running. Where necessary full-day classes have been split into multiple half-day or evening classes. We will clean the studio between every class but to add an extra layer of safety we are only running classes on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings so that the virus has more than 72 hours to die on surfaces between classes. Please go take a look at the classes, there’s plenty of lovely options to choose from! CORONA VIRUS SHOP RULES Our Edinburgh shop is continuing with our regular opening hours of Wednesday – Saturday 10am -5pm. We understand that not everyone will be able or want to return to physical shopping and we want to continue catering to those customers so you are welcome to place an order over the phone or through our online shop. Shop Rules We are continuing with our ‘one customer in the shop at any one time’ rule that we employed pre-lockdown. This means that if there is someone in the shop when you arrive you will need to wait outside and make sure any queuing is socially distanced. On entering the shop we will request that you use the hand sanitiser provided. Inside the shop you will be required to wear a face covering and avoid touching surfaces, including fabric as much as possible. Our staff will also wear face coverings. As most of you know our shop is quite small and we feel these extra precautions are sensible at the present time. Our staff will make sure that all surfaces are kept as clean as possible and we promise to do all we can to ensure our shop is a safe environment for all Unfortunately Crafternoons, Craft Club and Craft Classes remain on hold. We are looking at putting out a limited schedule of socially distanced classes and will keep you posted on this.
